CPM® Looking Towards the Future

Kenneth Finch has a full professional
life managing a portfolio of commercial, office and industrial
properties within the Greater Toronto Area for Delcom Management
Services Inc. and the satisfaction of his job is what drives him to
succeed.
“Working with a great team of property administrators, managers and
accountants, functioning together to achieve our goals, is what I find
to be the most rewarding part of my career,” Finch explains.
He may control a half a million square
feet of rentable space in the GTA, but he is also a licensed REALTOR®
with HomeLife Vision Realty Inc. helping add to his already impressive
credentials in the Real Estate Word.
When he is not working on his next big deal for Delcom, much time is
spent on the golf course and preparing for his upcoming wedding to
fiancée Kerry next summer.
Having freshly earned his CPM® designation in just under three years,
Finch has gravitated towards success in almost everything he has done.
He is hoping that REIC will help play a part in that for the future,
helping prove to potential clients why they should use his services.
“As a REIC member, I have proven that I have a commitment to
professionalism, experience, education, and ethics, which escalates me
to a higher level of excellence in the real estate industry.”
Originally working in marketing and promotion, Finch moved into the
real estate industry due to the stability and opportunities he viewed
it could present him with, ensuring a strong illustrious career. He
has been a property manager since 2002.
As a property manager, Finch felt going for his CPM® designation was a
simple no-brainer that could do nothing but benefit his career. “To me
the CPM® designation stands for professionalism and integrity. It
provides career-oriented training that includes modules to analyze a
property's physical and fiscal performance, implement policies and
procedures to enhance short and long-term property values, and courses
that enhanced my abilities to market, retain and improve tenant,
resident and employee relations.”
A man who believes that his education provides the cornerstone to his
success, Finch has plans to earn other designations including the
Fellow of the Real Estate Institute.
Working out of offices in Toronto and Newmarket, Finch He is looking
to expand with Delcom Management Services while getting involved with
limited partnership real estate syndicates. He’s focused on the future
but still looks fondly on what he has accomplished so far, stating
buying his first apartment building as an extremely proud moment in
his career.
With the great deal of success Finch has achieved during his young
career, he has also had his share of unusual events happen while on
the job.
“I was working on a development project with my previous employer and
uncovered a buried Cadillac with a backhoe.” Finch explains, then
smiles. “The police were called and towed the vehicle away. We never
did ask if they found anything in the trunk.”
