Submit Information for the 2010 IREM Income/Expense Analysis Report Now!
Data to be collected until April 1, 2010
The REPAM (Real Estate Property/Asset Management) Council and IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) are encouraging its Canadian members to provide data on the properties they manage for the 2010 Income /Expense Analysis Report.
Submit information now to help provide Canada with accuarte Information.
Please remember that the dealine to submit information is April 1, 2010 and you do not have to be a member of IREM to be eligable to participate.

REALTORS® can now participate in the Employment Insurance (EI) program.
In a press release issued on February 1, 2010 it was announced that self-emplyed REALTORS® can now participate in the Employment Insurance (EI) program beginning in January 2011.

REIC is Now Accepting Nominations for the 2010 REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards
The Real Estate Institute of Canada is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Pursuit of Excellence Awards. You can nominate your fellow members, real estate associations and chapters in over a dozen different categories. The REIC Board of Directors and the Awards Task Force encourages REIC Members to submit numerous submissions.
Please download the 2009 Pursuit of Excellence Awards Brochure and make certain that you look at the new and updated awards being offered this year. Entry forms are also available for download.
This year’s award winners will be announced at the annual REIC Awards Dinner & Dance to be held on Saturday May 30, 2009 as part of the 2009 REIC Annual Conference in Halifax Nova Scotia.
REIC Members are asked to be aware of submission deadlines when preparing their nominations.
The deadline for awards is Friday April 16, 2010 @ 4:00PM EST. Chapter of Year Award submissions will be accepted until Friday May 21, 2010 @ 4:00PM EST.

The Institute has created pages on Facebook and Linkedin to help keep members connected
The Real Estate Institute of Canada has decided to join the social networking world on the internet. Recently REIC has created company pages on both Facebook and Linkedin.
This experimental project is being done in an attempt to try and keep REIC members across Canada more connected with each other leveraging the use of social media and technology.

REIC Announces Winners of the 2009 Pursuit of Excellence Awards!
The Institute honoured its best of the year last weekend in Halifax.
This past Saturday night the Real Estate Institute of Canada handed out its 2009 REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards at the annual REIC Awards Gala. The gala, which was part of the festivities at the 2009 REIC Annual Conference, took place in the Halifax Ballroom of the Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia.
