How To Become a Candidate Member
A Candidate Member is a real estate industry professional who has applied and been accepted into an REIC designation program.
As an REIC Candidate Member you benefit from:

The guarantee that, regardless of future changes to the education or experiential requirements, you are “locked in” to the requirements which are in place when you become a candidate.

Chapter affiliation with access to local programs and services (where available).

Chapter guidance and support through the candidacy process to further your career and enhance your professional recognition.
Process
- Select the designation program you would like to work towards.
- Download and complete the appropriate designation application form and submit with the application processing fee. Application forms can be downloaded from the designations page of our web site.
- For the FRI and CRES, you must hold a valid real estate license
- You must be actively involved in the area of real estate your choice of designation relates to at the time of application and have a minimum of 12 months of related work experience.
Your application will be reviewed and if you meet the minimum criteria, it will be processed within one to two weeks. Part of the process includes an interview by a representative of the local Chapter to verify your experience. Once Chapter recommendation is received, you are approved as a Candidate for the designation you have selected.

How To Become a Designated Member
Once you have successfully completed the program, you are eligible to become a designated member of REIC.
