QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Your CRU is dedicated;
Becoming a CRU is not easy.  It is a demanding process during which real estate professionals may pass through a candidacy period of up to five years.

Your CRU is experienced;
CRU members must have a minimum of three years experience as a mortgage officer or mortgage broker.

Your CRU is knowledgeable;
CRU members have completed a number of real estate courses.  These include Ethics and Business Practice, Mortgage Lending for Residential Housing, Property Risk Assessment, Credit & Electronic Underwriting, as well as Legal Issue in Real Estate Finance.

Your CRU is a reputable, active member of the real estate community;
CRU members have gained the endorsement of and are affiliated with their local REIC Chapter, and abide by the Institute's stringent code of ethics.

Your CRU is committed;
To maintain their designation, CRU members must remain in good standing with their local REIC Chapter and REIC National, and abide by the REIC Code of Professional Standards (PDF, 71KB).  They are also encouraged to participate in the Institute's continuing education program.
