QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Your CPM® is dedicated;
Becoming a CPM® is not easy. It is a demanding process during which property management professionals pass through a candidacy period of between one and ten years.
Your CPM® is experienced;
CPM® members must be active specialist with at least three years of property management experience.
Your CPM® is knowledgeable;
CPM® members have completed a number of real estate courses, covering topics such as finance and investment analysis, ethics, problem solving and decision making, leasing and management of various types of properties, marketing and human resource issues. Members must also submit a comprehensive management plan or successfully complete the Management Plan Skills Assessment test.
Your CPM® is a reputable, active member of the real estate community;
CPM® members have gained the endorsement of and are affiliated with their local REIC Chapter, and abide by both the REIC and IREM® stringent codes of ethics (PDF, 16KB).
Your CPM® is committed;
To maintain their designation, CPM® members must remain in good standing with their local REIC Chapter and REIC National, and abide by the REIC Code of Professional Standards as well as the IREM® Code of Professional Ethics. They are also encouraged to participate in the Institute's continuing professional education program.
