QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Your CLO is dedicated;
Becoming a CLO is not easy. It is a demanding process during which leasehold professionals may pass through a candidacy period of up to five years.
Your CLO is experienced;
CLO members must be active specialists in the leasehold acquisition, disposal and administration with a minimum of three years dedicated leasing experience.
Your CLO is knowledgeable;
CLO members have completed a number of real estate courses. These include Ethics and Business Practice, Real Estate Investment Analysis, Real Estate Law or Business Law, Real Estate Valuation, The Leasing Process, and Negotiation and Documentation in Commercial Leasing.
Your CLO is a reputable, active member of the real estate community;
CLO members have gained the endorsement of and are affiliated with their local REIC Chapter, and abide by the Institute's stringent code of ethics.
Your CLO is committed;
To maintain their designation, CLO members must remain in good standing with their local REIC Chapter and REIC National, and abide by the REIC Code of Professional Standards (PDF, 71KB). They are also encouraged to participate in the Institute's continuing education program.
