2010 Pursuit of Excellence Award Winners
On Saturday June 5, 2010 the Real Estate Institute of Canada handed out its 2010 REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards at the Annual REIC Awards Dinner and Dance. The event, which was part of the festivities at the 2010 REIC Annual Conference, took place in the Salon Ballrooms of the Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa in downtown Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards Program recognizes REIC Members, Chapters, Associations, and Corporations who have contributed to the advancement of REIC and the Real Estate Industry over the past year.
In addition to the Pursuit of Excellence Awards, REIC presented its highest accolade it can bestow upon a member when it presented REIC Emeritus to Mr. Douglas Watkins, FRI CMR CPM® of IREM BC Chapter 50. Watkins was unable to accept his honour in person, so fellow REIC Past-President and IREM BC Chapter 50 member Mr. William McCarthy, FRI CPM CLO accepted the honour on his behalf.

Bentall Excellence Award Bentall generously provides a $1,500 cash award, annually, to the Canadian candidate who attains the highest mark on the first submission of their Management Plan or first writing of their MPSA. REIC Emeritus The Awards Task Force will select no more than one application from each council to submit to the REIC Board of Directors for Emeritus consideration.
