2011 REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards
The REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards program recognizes REIC members, chapters, related associations and corporations that have contributed to the advancement of REIC and the real estate industry over the past year.
The awards are presented at the REIC annual conference.
Here are the recipients of the 2011 REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards.

The J.A. Weber Award Aldine Larsen, FRI(E) CPM- White Rock, BC This award pays tribute to the REIC member who, at the chapter level, has made a significant contribution to the advancement of the Institute. The nominee’s efforts should have directly influenced the growth and recognition of an REIC chapter.

Chapter Administrator of the Year Award New to the 2011 program, this award recognizes outstanding service by a Chapter Administrator. The award is presented to an individual who has provided outstanding contributions to the chapter's overall success during the past 12 months. These contributions include: attending all Chapter Management Board meetings, organizing networking and educational events, recognizing member achievements and milestones, keeping all financial records up-to-date and maintaining strong communication with the REIC National Office.

Bentall Kennedy Excellence Award Bentall Kennedy generously provides a $1,500 cash award to the Canadian candidate who attains the highest mark on the first submission of their Management Plan or first writing of their MPSA. All candidates in good standing are automatically eligible by submitting their Management Plan or by completing the MPSA.

Bentall Kennedy Literary Award The Bentall Kennedy Literary Award (first presented in 1968 as the Claude Leigh Award) recognizes the best in real estate journalism and research as it pertains to REIC and Canada’s real estate industry. Bentall Kennedy generously contributes a $1,000 cash award annually to the winning author.

The REIC Murray Bosley Sales & Leasing Council Member of the Year Award Alex Pino, FRI - Toronto ON This award (formerly the Murray Bosley FRI of the Year Award) is presented to an REIC member in good standing who holds a sales & leasing designation. This member is considered to be one of the foremost supporters of the council and their respective designation over the course of the year.

REIC Community Services Award IREM Edmonton Chapter This award honours the chapter and/or member that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the local community, through volunteer services and charitable work within the chapter’s jurisdictional boundaries.
