Chapter Administrator of the Year Award
Deanna Strange-Chard - Fort Langley, BC

New to the 2011 program, this award recognizes outstanding service by a Chapter Administrator. The award is presented to an individual who has provided outstanding contributions to the chapter's overall success during the past 12 months. These contributions include: attending all Chapter Management Board meetings, organizing networking and educational events, recognizing member achievements and milestones, keeping all financial records up-to-date and maintaining strong communication with the REIC National Office.

Bentall Kennedy Excellence Award
Dale Harder ARM® - Nipawin, SK

Bentall Kennedy generously provides a $1,500 cash award to the Canadian candidate who attains the highest mark on the first submission of their Management Plan or first writing of their MPSA. All candidates in good standing are automatically eligible by submitting their Management Plan or by completing the MPSA.

Bentall Kennedy Literary Award
Eugen Klein, FRI CLO CRES ARM - Vancouver, BC

The Bentall Kennedy Literary Award (first presented in 1968 as the Claude Leigh Award) recognizes the best in real estate journalism and research as it pertains to REIC and Canada’s real estate industry. Bentall Kennedy generously contributes a $1,000 cash award annually to the winning author.

The REIC Murray Bosley Sales & Leasing Council Member of the Year Award

Alex Pino, FRI - Toronto ON

This award (formerly the Murray Bosley FRI of the Year Award) is presented to an REIC member in good standing who holds a sales & leasing designation. This member is considered to be one of the foremost supporters of the council and their respective designation over the course of the year.

REIC REM Council Member of the Year Award

This award is presented to an REIC member in good standing who holds a Property Management designation. This member is considered to be one of the foremost supporters of the council and their respective designation over the course of the year.

REIC Finance Council Member of the Year Award

Clarence Wedge, CRF - Pickering ON

This new award category, establish in 2009, is presented to an REIC member in good standing who holds a Finance designation. This member is considered to be one of the foremost supporters of the council and their respective designation over the past year.

REIC Community Services Award

IREM Edmonton Chapter

This award honours the chapter and/or member that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the local community, through volunteer services and charitable work within the chapter’s jurisdictional boundaries.

REIC Corporate Citizen of the Year Award
British Columbia Housing Management Commission

This prestigious award is presented to the company that has demonstrated its recognition and support of the Institute’s goals and objectives through their support of the continued growth and awareness of the Institute.

Candace Le Roux, ARM accepts the award on behalf of the British Columbia Housing Management Commission.

REIC Association of the Year Award
Saskatchewan Housing Authorities Network

This prestigious award is presented to the not-for-profit association (including real estate boards) that has demonstrated its recognition and support of the Institute’s goals and objectives by continually supporting growth and awareness of the Institute.

Chapter Initiative of the Year Award

REIC Toronto Chapter

This award recognizes the Chapter that has created an innovative educational program, event or marketing campaign that resulted in an increased awareness of the Institute as well as one or more sectors of the real estate profession.

IREM Outstanding Canadian Chapter Award

The award is presented to the Region 14 Chapter with the highest points in the Chapter Star Workbook, with additional consultation with the Region 14 RVP and REIC. This chapter shows a strong commitment to membership growth and considerable initiative in the following areas:

• Sustainable leadership
• Supportive administrative structure
• Enthusiastic member involvement and worthwhile member services

REIC Emeritus
