The National Office of the Real Estate Institute of Canada is located at the west end of Toronto, on the Toronto Mississauga border. It is directly south of Pearson International Airport, approximately a 5-minute drive from any of the three terminals. Located southeast of the intersection of Highways 401 and 427, the office is approximately 20 minutes from downtown Toronto or North York, 35 minutes from Hamilton, 50 minutes from Oshawa.
The office complex, named Centennial Centre, is a cluster of eight low-rise red brick buildings, resembling townhomes, located on the south side of Eglinton, west of Renforth Drive. A traffic light one block west of Renforth (Commerce Drive) allows easy entry and exit from the complex.
REIC's home is in the back building on the west end and our offices are a walk up to the second floor.
For those of you driving, the directions are...
From the West (traveling eastbound) on Highway 401
Exit from Highway 401 at Renforth Drive, and turn right (south). Proceed under the underpass and bear right at the traffic light (Eglinton). Proceed (west) to the first traffic light (Commerce), and turn left into the complex (there is an advanced green). Turn right immediately, then take the second left. We are in the back building on your right.
From the East (traveling westbound) on Highway 401
Exit from Highway 401 at Carlingview Drive (just past the exit for Highway 427/Niagara. This exit heads north). At the first traffic light, turn left and follow the road as it loops to head back (south) over the 401. Proceed to the fourth traffic light (Eglinton), and bear right. Proceed (west) to the first traffic light (Commerce), and turn left into the complex (there is an advanced green). Turn right immediately, then take the second left. We are in the back building on your right.
From downtown Toronto, or
From the QEW (traveling northbound on the 427)
Exit from the 427 North onto the collectors at Rathburn/Eglinton/Hwy. 27. Follow the signs and exit from the collectors at Eglinton WEST. This exit loops 180ยบ to a stoplight (Eglinton). Turn right (west), and proceed to the third traffic light (Commerce). Turn left into the complex (there is an advanced green). Turn right immediately, then take the second left. We are in the back building on your right.
From the North (travelling south on the 427)
Exit from the 427 South onto Eglinton Avenue. At the first traffic light, make a sharp right, which takes you onto Eglinton Westbound. Proceed to the third traffic light (Commerce) and turn left into the complex (there is an advanced green). Turn right immediately, then take the second left. We are in the back building on your right.
Office Hours:
Normal office hours are 9a.m. to 5p.m., but someone is usually in the office from 8a.m. to 6p.m. If you dial in, and the switchboard is closed, dial the extension of the individual you wish to speak to. They may be in. If the office door is locked, ring the doorbell.
